Rape of Europa, 1999 - 2005
In an ongoing series Rape of Europa made with pencil and hair-dye on paper, abstract stains are
counterpoised with architectural views of a chalice. The trace or evidence of the mark remains after the act of drawing and continues to grow around its edges due to the chemical reaction between
hair-dye and the paper. The stain gradually creates a halo aorund its original shape.
